Roofing Services for Your Home
We have been in business since 1995, and our work covers the whole roof system: decking, underlayment, flashing, shingles or metal panels, and the gutters that carry water away. Every new roof installation we do carries our no-leak guarantee. For a single lifted shingle or a leaking pipe boot, roof repair is usually the right call. When the plywood gives under a boot or every slope is shedding granules into the gutters, we tell you plainly and lay out roof replacement or metal roofing as the options.

Roof Replacement
Full tear-off, decking checked sheet by sheet, and a new roof installed to Florida code, with your landscaping covered and daily updates.

Roof Repair
Leak tracing, flashing and pipe boot fixes, shingle and decking replacement, done with your plants covered and photos of what we found.
Roof Inspections
A close look at shingles, flashing, vents and the attic underside, with photos and a written list of what needs work now and what can wait.
Storm Damage Repair
We find wind and hail damage, document it for your adjuster, and repair shingles, decking and flashing with your yard and driveway protected.
Gutters
Continuous aluminum gutters and downspouts sized to your roof, pitched to drain, and installed with your beds and walkways protected.
Metal Roofing
Standing seam and screw-down metal roofs installed over a sound deck, with panel, gauge and coating choices explained before you pick one.
The Steps of a Roof Job
Nearly every job moves through these five steps, and you always know where we are.
- 1
You call us
Describe what you have noticed, such as a stain, missing shingles or gutters spilling over, and we book a technician visit.
- 2
A photographed inspection
We cover each slope, looking at flashing, vents and valleys, then check the plywood from the attic side. Your estimate includes a photo of everything we find.
- 3
Your estimate in writing
Materials, labor, the permit and a per-sheet decking allowance each get their own line. We review them with you, and there is no rush to decide.
- 4
The work days
We cover plants and the AC unit before anything else. Then come tear-off, decking repairs, underlayment, flashing and the new roof, in that order, with the site tidied every evening.
- 5
Cleanup and the last walk
A magnet goes over the yard, the gutters get cleared, and we tour the finished roof with you, showing the new vents and flashing.

A Roofing Company That Works Like a Guest
Roofing Callahan does residential roofing in Callahan and the towns around it. Our work is roof repair, roof replacement, inspections, storm damage repair, gutters and metal roofing, and nothing else, so the people on your roof spend every day on roofs.
North Florida roofs take a steady beating: summer afternoon storms, hurricane season winds and pine needles that pack into valleys and hold moisture against the shingles. We explain how those forces affect your specific roof, and we treat the yard, the driveway and the people living in the house with the same care we put into the flashing.

What Sets the Price of Roof Work
Two homes with the same footprint can end up with very different prices. It comes down to the roof that is up there now, the condition beneath it, and what the Florida Building Code requires going back on. These items carry the most weight.
Your estimate is free and itemized after we walk the roof and, where we can reach it, check the decking from the attic. If anything changes after tear-off, we tell you and get your approval before going on.
- How big and how steep
- We measure roofs in squares, each 100 square feet. A steep pitch means harnesses, roof jacks and slower work on every square, so it costs more than a low roof of equal size.
- How many old layers
- A single layer of shingles strips off fast. If there is a second one below it, tear-off labor and dumpster weight both double.
- Shape of the decking
- Plywood or OSB soaked by a slow leak turns soft and stops holding nails. It stays hidden until the old roof comes off, so your estimate shows a set price per sheet for any we replace.
- Shingles or metal
- Architectural asphalt shingles and standing seam metal vary in price, install time and how long they last. If you are deciding between them, we compare the two for you.
- Openings and flashing work
- Chimneys, skylights, plumbing stacks and wall joints are all spots where water can get in, and each is flashed by hand. A roof with many of them takes more detail work than a simple gable.
- Permit and code work
- A replacement requires a permit and inspection, along with code items such as wind uplift nailing patterns and a secondary water barrier. We include these in the estimate from the start.

Questions Callahan Homeowners Ask Us
- Will a repair do, or is it time for a new roof?
- It depends on how widespread the wear is and how solid the decking feels. When the roof is sound apart from a split pipe boot or a few lost shingles, we repair it. When every slope is bare of granules, the shingles curl, or the decking is soft in several places, a new roof usually makes more sense. You get photos and an honest answer either way.
- What do you do to keep my yard and plants safe?
- We tarp the shrubs and beds, cover the AC condenser and shield any windows close to where debris falls. You pick the dumpster spot, usually the driveway with boards laid under it. Before we leave, we run a magnet across the lawn and walkways to pick up nails.
- Do you stand behind your work?
- Yes. Our no-leak guarantee covers every new roof installation. On repairs, we walk through the details during the estimate so you know what we fixed and why.
- If a storm hits and I file a claim, can you help?
- Yes. We inspect for free after a storm and deal with your adjuster directly on storm damage claims. We photograph every damaged area, and one of us can be at your home when the adjuster comes to point out what we found. Your insurer decides coverage; our part is making the damage plain to see.
- How long does a roof replacement take?
- Most asphalt shingle replacements on an average house take one or two working days, longer when there is an extra layer to remove or a lot of rotted decking. Metal takes somewhat more time since panels and trim are fitted piece by piece. If rain holds us up, we tell you the same day.
- Do I need to stay home during the work?
- Not for most of it. We would like to talk with you before tear-off and again at the final walk. If we need to get into the attic, we schedule a time that works for you and put down drop cloths first.
- Can I pay for a roof over time?
- Yes, we offer financing. Mention it when you call or during the estimate visit, and we will go over it alongside your written price.
How We Work on Your Property
A roof job puts a crew, a ladder and a dumpster at your house for a day or more. Here is how we keep that from turning into damage to your yard or confusion about what is happening.
Protection goes down before tear-off
Tarps go over flower beds and shrubs, plywood leans against windows near the drop zone, and the AC condenser gets a cover so falling granules and nails stay out of the fins. If we need to check the attic from inside, drop cloths go down on your floors first.
One clear update every day
You hear from us at the end of each work day: what got done, what we found under the old shingles, and what happens tomorrow. If rotted decking turns up, you see a photo and the sheet count before we replace it.
Magnetic sweeps, not a quick glance
Roofing nails hide in grass and gravel. We run a rolling magnet over the lawn, driveway and walkways at the end of the job, and check the gutters for loose granules and debris before we leave.
Help with insurance and financing
After a storm, we work directly with your insurance adjuster, showing them the damage on the roof and the photos we took. Financing is available if a replacement does not fit neatly into one payment.
The cause named before the price
A ceiling stain is a symptom. We trace it to the source, whether that is a cracked pipe boot, lifted step flashing at a wall or a clogged valley, and explain it before we quote the fix.

Learn What Your Roof Needs
A technician checks the roof, photographs it and tells you what went wrong and why. The estimate is free, and you are under no obligation.
